How and where can i go about supporting causes with my music?

okay so, im a local musician and i relise that theres alot of causes out there. ive played a few local gigs and my life revolves around music. i want to find a way to use my musical abbilities to help out some of these causes. i feel like im just sitting here when i could be doing something. i want to use my musical talent to help out some of these causes darfur, supporting our troops, narcotics abuse. domestic abuse ex. anything really i just feel like i want to help out. how should i go about it and get involved? are there any web sites i can go to or start one?? anything so maybe me and my friends can musicly help out these causes.any idea's guys?? i know they could use the help and support but how do i do it?? thanks guys youve helped alot =]
