Ipod headphones dont work??

My friend has the same problem and we figured out what was wrong with it. It started with the crackling than his one headphone stopped working. He keep trying to get new headphones and nothing worked. If you have a warranty take it back and tell them the sound dock is not working. If not, a new one runs around $70 dollars.
