I regularly hold private firework displays outside nov5th, who should I inform and what should I do?

I try to use quieter lower noise BS7114 retail garden and display fireworks out of season but this is not always possible due to availability, and sometimes I have to incorporate pretty (if a little noisy) ones ie those with whistles and crackles as well as coloured ones and the occasional loud bang from rockets. I don't want to upset my neighbours and try my level best not to and create less annoyance, what should I do and who should I tell?
